Window Cleaning

Clean glass changes how much light gets into a room and how the whole house reads from the street. Twice a year is enough to keep hard-water spotting and film from etching into the glass permanently.

Why Yard Loop is the best option for you

Window work is sent to local cleaners who do this specific trade rather than a general handyman with a bucket. Yard Loop confirms insurance and ladder or pole-fed equipment appropriate to your storey height before a job is assigned.

What separates a proper window cleaner is what happens around the glass: screens taken out and washed rather than left in, tracks and sills cleared so the dirt does not run back down the pane on the first rain, purified water on pole-fed work so the glass dries without spots, and edges detailed rather than the middle wiped. Anyone can make the centre of a window clear.

Second-storey and awkward access is quoted honestly rather than skipped quietly. If a window cannot be safely reached, you are told before the visit, not after.

What’s included

  • Cleaning of the exterior window glass on the elevations included in your plan
  • Interior glass where you have selected interior or interior-and-exterior cleaning
  • Frame and sill wipe-down at the glass edge
  • Screen removal and reinstallation where required for access

Window count, storey height and whether you want interior work all change the visit. Windows above the second floor, fixed picture windows and specialty glass may be assessed separately. Your plan lists the window count it was priced on.

Window cleaning is normally scheduled twice a year — once after spring pollen, once before winter. Your own plan shows the exact schedule for your property before you agree to anything.

  2. Yard Loop coordinates everythingScheduling, billing, reminders and communication all run through Yard Loop. One company to contact, one monthly bill, no chasing separate trades for separate jobs.
  3. Local service professionals do the workThe work is performed by qualified local contractors that Yard Loop vets, schedules and pays. They are independent businesses, not Yard Loop employees — Yard Loop is the company you deal with and the one accountable to you for getting it done.

Common questions

Do I need to be home?

For exterior-only cleaning, usually not — the crew needs access to the outside of the house and to be able to reach the elevations. For interior cleaning somebody does need to be home, and that visit is scheduled with you.

How often should windows be cleaned?

Twice a year suits most homes in this metro: once after spring pollen, once before winter. Homes near a busy road, under heavy tree cover, or getting hit by sprinklers often benefit from more.

Can you remove hard-water spots?

Sometimes. Fresh mineral deposits can often be treated, but once hard water has etched the glass the damage is permanent and cleaning will not reverse it. That is why the timing of the first visit matters, and why we will tell you honestly which one you are looking at.

Do you clean the screens?

Screens are removed and refitted where that is needed to reach the glass. Screen cleaning and screen repair are handled as separate items — repair can be added if a screen is damaged.

Can I book window cleaning without a full plan?

Yes. You can start with window cleaning alone and add other services whenever you want them, on the same plan and the same bill.

What determines the price?

The number of exterior windows, the height of the house, whether you want interior cleaning, and what else is being handled on the same trip. The property is measured rather than estimated over the phone.
